This is a great restaurant to visit before or after a show at the Opera House. The older building with tall ceilings creates a beautiful ambiance. The food is divine. Although a bit pricey.
This little place is so unassuming from the outside! In fact, I drove past it 2x before I realized where it was. Once I walked in (on a wednesday night, which was perfect timing-there was no wait), I saw the history in the building. One of the oldest buildings in Lexington, it was the first Post Office. This fantastic restaurant is so quiant. Everyone feels like they are family. The one-line chef does extraordinary on every plate prepared. From the outside you would never know how fantastic this restaurant is inside. There was a bit of a wait for a table, but we didnt' mind as we sat at the bar and had a bottle of wine. The duck and the filet are both the best in town!
