Metro Security will get someone killed.

Every day this business remains in operation, the odds of a death resulting from their negligence grows.

This company employs road security officers who consume alcohol while on-duty and driving a company car and carrying a loaded and company-owned firearm.

At least one employee of this company does not report drunken-driving incidents involving residents--at least once, an employee of this company has roused a drunken driver passed out behind the wheel and not merely allowed, but encouraged, an intoxicated individual to drive themselves home.

Employees of this company have falsified information or misled other employees about having obtaining the proper certification for said other employees to operate in the city/parish of New Orleans; at least one employee was given shifts in that city/parish without having the proper certification, which would have resulted in a felony conviction for that employee, had it been discovered and prosecuted.

This company hires individuals who have deliberately lied about their criminal history. When in training, I personally met--and was inappropriately treated by--a fellow trainee who signed a sworn affidavit to the effect that the individual had had no prior criminal convictions that would prevent them from becoming a licensed, armed security officer. This individual was proven to have lied, in other words, they failed their background check, which proved they had been convicted of offenses that barred them from legally working as an armed security officer. Nonetheless, this individual was hired in an unarmed capacity. This individual was grossly insubordinate to dispatch and security officers. This individual was reported to the police by a client and resident for an alleged "peeping tom" incident; to the best of my knowledge, the police were contacted and a police report was made. This individual was not terminated, but instead transferred to a non-residential post.

"Ghosting" is the practice of a security officer falsely claiming in their logs that they have been to a site and verified its security, when they have not, in fact, visually inspected the site. Ghosting occurred regularly, without acknowledgment or reprimand.

The shifts that security officers were required to work were also detrimental to the quality of their service. Truckers and drivers are prohibited from driving for over 24 hours straight; such shifts were required of certain individuals. I am not sure if this practice is currently illegal, but it is highly unethical.

I believe the business owner and those at the highest level of its chain of command were aware of all these issues, and others I have not mentioned, and refused to address them. I related all complaints and incidents up the chain of command, and no attempt was made to correct the situations.

These people will get someone killed if they are not driven out of business by sheer negligence and incompetence first.
