Funny story - I *always* visit Meijer while in Michigan, except this visit was so packed with other activities that I just did not have the time, so - to make up for this deficiency - I hunted...

Many stores have adopted the policy of excepting expired coupons but not meijer. Why? Meijer puts out expired food items,discontinued items,old bakery items on clearance racks they expect customers to buy..so.. why can't they except expired coupons like other grocery stores do. ?
