Help us make it rightMy first time there and it was quite fun. Recommend it guys! Nexr time I go I'll take a goog group of friends and we'll catch up on our stuff in a great ambiance tavern.
The bar is nice, but not in any way low-key. It can get pretty busy in this place. The service is decent. Just like any bar if you seem a little apprehensive about ordering anything less than 10 drinks they won't serve you as fast as others. I have a bone to pick with this place. The beer selections are decent, and I know nothing about the food, but I must say that they are lying to people when they say that the Abita Andygater has 12% ABV (alcohol by volume). It is in the neighborhood of 8%, and every experienced beer drinker knows that when the ABV in a beer is over 10% it is definitely...
Avoid this place at all costs! The only thing worse than their crappy, overpriced food and drinks is their rude staff and manager.
McCray's is a nice little tavern located in the heart of trendy Midtown. We had a great time last year, during St. Patrick's Day, from what I can remember. Good beer selection, and the ladies behind the bar are nice. Just have a few brews, maybe a few bar menu items, but avoid the over-priced Italian menu. You will be sorry. Especially anything with Mussel's. Hard to find a place to park. Owner has much attitude. He may be Italian, but I would not brag about the Italian Food Items!
I love the low key neighborhood feel of this place. I don't need to dress up in order to go there. There's always a good crowd and patrons are friendly and relaxed in this atmosphere. The staff is friendly and very helpful and the menu is great. I highly recommend the meatball parm.
McCray's 6th Street Tavern is located at 98 Sixth St NE, Atlanta, GA. This location is in the Midtown neighborhood.. McCray's 6th Street Tavern is open Mon-Sat 11am-2:30am; Sun 11am-12am and accepts American Express, Discover, Mastercard and Visa.
In a word: beer. Ale snobs will rejoice in the variety of drafts as they shoulder up to the expansive bar that covers one wall. Cute, but sometimes overly solicitous, servers mix martinis, pull drafts and serve up such selections as Rigatoni Vodka Sauce, sandwiches and sugary desserts. Several TVs keep sports fanatics at bay and the long round counters and cozy booths offer opportunities to relax after a day of business meetings and client presentations.
