Who cares if the owners of this Mexican restaurant are Greek? The food is the same reliable Sonoran stuff we've all come to know and love. Besides, the Matador is still one of downtown's most viable lunch options.
For over 25 years, the Matador restaurant has been a staple in downtown Phoenix, serving tacos and tamales to hungry politicians, construction workers and sports fans alike.
The matador has been around for years. In the past, I have heard good things about it and thought it would be a treat to eat there while we were downtown.
