We love Ludington but rarely can camp in the state park. So in looking we found this as one of the "cheap" campgrounds in the area. Oh were we surprised! Large spaces. I thought the whole place was well kept, guests followed rules, and the people that worked there were extreamly friendly.

We have been camping here for about 10 years. It is very quiet, mostly used by fisherman, so it is pretty much deserted in the daytime. Bathrooms are very clean! Many sites now offer full hook up. It is a short drive to Buttersville Beach.

I have not stayed here in abuot 7 years, however I stayed here alot while growing up. This is where my dad preferred to stay over the state park due to it being less roudy, less busy and less costly. The campground only had 50 sites and is set in the woods. It had a nice play area and bath house which was kept clean. Last I stayed there it was $12 or $15 nightly which is half the cost of the...
