I have lived in several different parts of the country -- east, midwest, and south -- and visited many more. What I remember most about my time in Dayton was the pizza -- there were many good kinds, and each was unique. So when my husband and I went back recently for a "friends' reunion" after moving away 22 years ago, naturally we wanted to try the pizza, specifically Marion's, our favorite....

I have eaten at Marion's pizza a handful of times (mostly because friends want to), and i do not understand why so many rave about this place. The pizza is decent, but is overpriced. Plus, you can only pay with cash???...what is this 1950?

I have lived in the Dayton area for 37 years and have to agree that Marions is truly a dayton original. Even if you are from out of town you can still enjoy a tasty slice of heaven, simply by calling them and requesting them to ship to you, a frozen one! the down side to this "so I have heard" is that they don't bake up quite as nicely at home. Good luck to the out of towners.
