We went to Marais tonight to experience the new blend of Chef's and menus. What an outstanding experience. My husband and I each had the tasting menu....his regular, mine vegetarian....and WOW. Each course was uniquely presented, palate exciting and FUN. We also had the wine pairing which was equally fresh and innovative. Owners were in the dining room and engaging...

This was our first visit to Marais. The restaurant is very elegant & beautiful inside. We found the wait staff to be excellent and attentive. Their overall knowledge of the menu and wine selection was impressive. The food is very good but a bit overpriced for what you get. Overall we had a nice evening.

From the rude hostess, to the HORRIBLE service, to the day-old lobster, and beyond, nothing seemed to go right. There were only 3 tables seated in the restaurant, yet it took 10 minutes...

Molly Abraham, Detroit News Restaurant Critic: A pristine a la carte menu in the hands of chef/proprietor David Gilbert, whose wife Monica runs the front of the house, and an accompanying wine list chosen by the husband and wife team sets this upscale restaurant apart from the crowd.
