If you're in the mood for nonthreatening American-style Mexican food, the family-run Mangos does a terrific job, and with homemade ingredients. Best bets are the super-spicy pork burritos, shredded beef enchiladas and flavor-packed tamales.

This is some of the best homemade Mexican food north of the Rio Grande, thanks to original De La Cruz family recipes. Try the nachos machos, stuffed enchiladas with chicken or beef or the tostada voladora. Non-meat-eaters, try the veggie burrito.

Small little restaurant right on Main in Mesa. Fun place to go for lunch when you are doing a little shopping. You can eat outside or inside. Food is excellent! I especially enjoy their chips, salsa and fresh quacamole.

I love Mango's and eat it at least once a week! Everything always tastes fresh and is quite flavorful! I definitely recommend the chicken hard-shelled tacos and of course you can't forget the chips and salsa!
