The Scene In what may be one of the oddest configurations in town, the property occupies the top 11 floors of a commercial building, the third tallest in San Francisco. The floors, numbered 38 through 48, place guests above most of the surrounding Financial District high rises. Take the sky bridge from one tower to another--it's like walking on air. Silks serves delicious food in a great, luxe environment. The wait staff was attentive and the service superbly executed though, perhaps, a bit reserved for such an enjoyable place. We enjoyed all of the appetizers and entrees but were especially fond of the oysters, crab cakes, and spring rolls. It was a truly lovely date night for my husband and me.

Don't expect to get full from here, otherwise impressive

The portion of the main meal was somewhat disappointing to me. it was more about the presentation, which was outstanding. I became hungry again just an hour after we left. Otherwise the food itself was impressive. The service was even more impressive. It was a quiet meal. My girlfriend and I were the youngest in the room by far but not bothered by that. The last several upscale... more

Silks Restaurant was the perfect spot for a client dinner. We were all very impressed by the restaurant itself - the ambiance gives it the feel of a private lounge. The food was superb and the waitstaff on their toes. Would go again with friends and family.
