An Experience in Southern Charm

Our stay at this charming bed and breakfast located in downtown mobile was wonderful. The historic buildings and the period furnishings were beautiful: High ceilings, balconies, a lovely courtyard, outdoor swimming pool and soft comfortable beds. We ate fresh waffles each morning. If you are looking for the run of the mill chain hotel room, this is not the place for you. But if you are looking for a lovely “home away from home”, this is it. The staff was incredibliy friendly and helpful

Recent updating of the lower level rooms have improved the stay at the Malaga, but some upstairs rooms could use a fresh coat of paint. Always a quaint, historic inn with friendly people, the Malaga is getting better. We stay there every year, and will do so again. Don't expect four-star treatment, but it's certainly more charming than a chain motel.

We enjoyed our stay for a long weekend at the Malaga Inn. It is on a surprisingly quiet street 2 blocks from the primary downtown restaurant area and about 6 blocks from the Exploreum. A friend and I attended Bayfest this year and all the big names were booked so I ended up getting a room here. We really enjoyed the courtyard and rocking chairs on the balcony! Rooms were enjoyable, bed comfortable, staff was polite. Bathrooms did leave something to be desired and I would catch breakfast somewhere else...but if you are looking... more
