The Gold Standard of Chicken Bowls

Mako Bowl is one of the best chicken bowl places for lunch. I know, because I probably had a couple of hundred there over the years for work. It's definitely the place you go in downtown Pasadena if you have a working lunch and need to get back in the hurry with a teriyaki bowl and some hot sauce. It's cheap, fast and clean.

I admit I feel a little silly saying a little take-out rice bowl place is "world class". But I love this place and so does everyone in my workplace.I love the veggies in the teriyaki bowl -- and the spicy teriyaki sauce is great! My other favorite is the Spicy Tuna bowl and I add avocado.They do have a bit of a wait at lunch -- call your order in to avoid this!
