The car service the Magnolia Hotel referred me to charged me DOUBLE the fair for a taxi for picking me up at the airport.

Advise- Drive yourself or use a cab.
The Hotel otherwise was ok.

Checked in - New Year's Day. Downtown houston was dead - I guess from the parties the night before for NYE. We absolutely loved our stay @ Magnolia!! We live in Spring and decided we would stay in town rather than go on our annual trip to Vegas. The rooms are beautiful,soft beds and comfortable. We wanted to get the most of our 3 day stay and was able to check in before 3pm (normal check-in)... more

I have stayed here a couple of times on business. They have a nice workout facility and pool on the roof. It is lovely place to stay and is in walking distance of a lot of business and resturants however the oniste bar and louge is nice all on its own.
