This is the famed bakery where George Clooney bought and couriered transparent pies to the set of one of his movies and shared them with his co-stars...apparently Brad Pitt was amongst the co-stars and he liked it too...so maybe for me, I expected something more magical? Magee's bakery years ago use to be located in downtown Maysville, Kentucky. They moved out to Orangeburg Road for a bigger space and to be closer to their home. It is well worth the drive to go to their shop. There is no place to sit down but the transparent puddings makes the trip special. They have cookies, cakes, elephant...

Magee’s Bakery is part of a 100 acre beef cattle farm. We like to tour the fields of farm on a small hay ride. Set back and ride the hill tops as number of plants roll by. Form the Kentucky Blue Grass to the State Golden Rod. Each season has a grand look all it’s own.

Tours by appointment only.
