I hope something Irish replaces it. The people want something with traditional Irish menu and other options with hearty Irish portions, would be nice. The serving sizes were to small. Here is hoping something great fills this void..

This is a really chill place to go with friends, even the bartenders are super nice. Left my phone there and the bartender held it behind the bar till I came back. Get a beer, get the Celtic nachos!

Fun spot that recently cut back to Friday and Saturday only hours with some exceptions for hoidays such as St Patricks Day.
It is a great spot close to the strand where my wife and I go often. Excellent variety of beers and some excellent bar food. This week we had crab brucetta which was well prepared and served quickly....

Sadly, Maewyn's is now only open on weekend nights and for catering.
They used to be our go-to bar for happy hours, but since changing ownership and getting rid of some great staff, they've gone downhill.
Food is, and always has been, just ok.

Seven of us visited this authentic Irish pub last weekend. There were over 20 craft beers on the menu. Service from our kilt-wearing wait staff was attentive and excellent. I had the Shepherd's Pie, it was a good and filling choice for a cold night. Everyone liked the decor, which was imported from a real pub in Ireland. Call ahead...

Maewyn's, located at 110 North George Street in Downtown York is an Irish pub and eatery - featuring traditional Irish fare as well as American cuisine. There are over 20 draught beers and a large selection of bottled beers. We take great pride in pouring "The Perfect Pint" of Guinness!
