Water Tower was the first big indoor mall to open downtown (in 1975), and 30 years ago its glass elevators and shiny gold trim gave the place a glamorous air. When Shopping comes to mind, the Water Tower immediately follows in thought. I love the Water Tower and the shops on the surrounding Michigan Avenue. The Water Tower Place is a great mall for shopping. It is located on Chicago's Magnificent Mile. Over 100 stores and restaurants are located inside. Stores range from rather cheaper ones to pricier ones. There are elevators and escalators inside, which ever you prefer. Dining is downstairs. You are given a card when you enter which you use to get your food from whatever restaurant you prefer.... more
