This 1918 colonial home was turned into a beautiful bed and breakfast sometime in the late 1980s. A few of the units offer a small private deck for your enjoyment, and one cottage unit features a private whirlpool. Needless to say, it is very popular with romantics. Book well in advance or you will probably end up staying somewhere else.

The house dates from the early 1900s and was built by one of Houston's mayors. Most rooms are large (well above the usual size for B&Bs). The four rooms in the main house and two in the carriage house are... more

The only issue I had was the somewhat lukewarm welcome as a group of teenagers. But if you're past your teens, this is a great place to stay.

He (One of the two gentlemen who own this place) said they were painting the suite above us the following day. I booked this... more
