For what it is--a museum dedicated to the development of a small town--the Los Altos History Museum is actually quite nice. About once every other month or so we pack up the kids and head over for a couple of hours on a Saturday afternoon. I remember not having much to do one day and wondered down to the History Museum. It was absolutely fabulous. The grounds are beautiful and the displays about the history of the town are really good. This is a must see - plan to spend a coule of hours if you want to read through the material on display.
This is a beautiful, unique place to hold a wedding or other special event. If you want an outdoor event, there is a fabulously landscaped garden, and the airy, lovely Museum Gallery is available for indoor receptions or dining events.
