Lomita's is the real deal. Fantastic, regional mexican food served with quality ingredients and love.
I spend 4 months a year in Mexico, and have for over a decade. Do yourself a favor and try to understand that most "Iowian" palates think Taco Bob's is great Mexican.
Use the salsa's to your taste buds liking. They are the real thing....

Saw others asking for a cheese sauce with their chips, will have to do that next time, looked delicious! Yummy strawberry and regular margaritas, and fajitas.

Been coming here for years. Always get the same thing- mixed and beef fajitas- just so good!! I had the mango margarita- delicious! I like that they don't have everything covered in some kind of red (sauce) food is colorful- not colored red! The restaurant itself needs updating is my only complaint.

Authentic and generous portions. Always try something different when we go and never disappointed but my favorite choice is the chimichanga. Good margaritas in various flavors also.

When I sat down, I was immediately brought two small carafes of salsa and a basket of chips. One salsa tasted like tomato juice; the other had a little kick to it - but not much.
I ordered a small order of queso to go with the chips, a steak dish called "steak a la tampequena" and a hard-shell taco....
