Hotel is showing its age. Not quite a "luxury" experience. Staff very accommodating and friendly. Cleanliness was only average. Restaurant "Mama Della's" was phenomenal. Pool areas are very nice. Convenient to Universal Studios Parks. Express Pass included with room well worth it. Early admission to Universal was better in theory than in practice.
We liked the Portofino Hotel very much. The hotel is large but well-maintained. There were 4 people working at the desk so check-in was quick. The hotel has a water taxi to Universal which leaves every 15 minutes and is very convenient. The breakfast is excellent with its large buffet. The large pool with a water slide for young children...

We had a Deluxe Queen. Very spacious, clean. Parking pricey, since you have already paid to stay at the hotel. Parking should not be an extra cost. They charge for extra coffee as well. But it is a nice place to stay.
