"It's a family business, started in North Miami by my father, Jorge Sr.," said Jorge Alvarez Jr., who manages the Deerfield restaurant. "This is the food we grew up with, that our parents and grandparents brought from Cuba. However, we've found that most of our business is from other cultural groups. Once they try our cuisine, they're hooked." The prices are just as good as the meals. For...
Savor the culture and flavors of Cuba at this award-winning restaurant. Local critics say "bravo" to seafood paella, roast pork, ropa vieja, famous relleno-stuffed fish, and other authentic Cuban dishes. Full bar, dance floor and live Latin entertainment. Visit us and Taste The Culture!
The Alvarez family is proud of the awards their restaurants have collected. The North Miami spot was named...
"Tummies smile" at the thought of the "hearty" Cuban chow on offer at these "well-priced" North Miami and Deerfield Beach fueling stations; the "fast-food restaurant" settings are "spacious" and the staffers "friendly", making meals here "fine" choices for the "whole family."
As Miami's capacious Cuban restaurants go, this one's more elegant than most, with waiters decked out in tuxedo vests and white linens on the tables. In Short
The place looks like a banquet hall for the American Legion, but the food is straight out of Havana. The authentic meals are filling and tasty--and you can't beat the prices. At...
They server good Cuban food. They feed you a good amount for the money. My craving is typically ropa vieja.
Starting with a friendly welcome, our dining experience was very good. The surroundings and appearance was very good, however, the view to the fountain and 'park like' setting needs a lot of work. The area was over grown, messy and a place where cats are fed! Not very appetizing!
The service staff worked as a team and were very friendly...

Whether you want a traditional Cuban meal or a quick salad or sandwich they are the place to go when in North Miami. They have a great lunch that has something for everyone and has a very authentic Cuban atmosphere. The...
This is the place to go if your looking for truly authentic Cuban food in Miami. It is worth the drive up from South Beach (for us about 25 minutes) their arroz is fluffy and flavorful. Nothing is overly greasy as can easily happen with Cuban food. We were a group of three, my friend and her father, we wanted...
My family and I wanted Cuban food done well and boy did we find it! We shared the snapper, lamb shanks, pulled pork and oxtails. Every dish was delish and nice portions. The coconut flan was to die for. Would highly recommend and we are looking forward to returning!
