Although it took a few months to...

Summer Bacchanals at Galatoire's; Gelato Po'boys

FRENCH QUARTER?Another series of the occasional Galatorie's wine dinners starts next week on Wednesday, July 31. According to Ian McNulty, the dinners come as a bit of a respite for chefs who don't often get the chance to dabble in more contemporary dishes while they're working off of the frozen-in-time menu at the century-old French Quarter food museum. The featured wines at Wednesday's dinner...

We originally had planned on eating at Walk Ons bc a friend owns it. But had just come over from Biloxi for the Billy Joel concert so wanted real authentic Cajun food. It was across the street and best decision made.

I ordered a cup of gumbo, which was quite good, and the mussels small plate. One of my friends enjoyed his fish platter, and another enjoyed a salad with fried oysters. However, the shrimp and grits...

Very limited menu and food was of poor quality. Way too expensive for what we got. The service was good, but I would not return.

We really loved it. Everyone there helped make our evening so special. I've been recommending this place to everyone who've seen our photos from that night.
