Help us make it rightA cooperative effort of the Lisle Park District, Lisle Heritage Society, & the Village of Lisle, the museum campus was created in 1978.
Located in a former train station, the Museums at Lisle Station reflect on the Lisle that once was, an agricultural community settled in the early 1830s. The Lisle Park District, Lisle Heritage Society and the Village of Lisle created the museum to preserve the buildings and teach visitors about the cultural history of the town. The museum features four buildings and a retired train car....
This park was created for the community's historic train deport and features an 1874 CB&Q railroad depot, an 1881 wooden caboose, a circa 1850's farmhouse, and a circa 1830's tavern and inn. Historic gardens and special exhibits are also on site and various educational programs are available.
