Linden Optometry A Professional Corporation

If you want quality care and good service, THEN LINDEN IS NOT YOUR PLACE!!!

My visit to Linden Optometry was completely dreadful and a big waste of time. I went there because they were opened on a Sunday. I had a 1pm appointment and it took an hour an a half to been seen. I was passed from one person to the next and so forth. They have an assembly line set up and the way they run their practice is very inefficient. We were there a total of 3 hours and I walked out feeling like they didn't do anything for me and I had to return for a follow-up. For my follow-up, my appointment was at 11am, so I decided to arrive twenty minutes early. We waited almost an hour an a half before they called me. The follow-up was only suppsed to take fifteen minutes. I was wearing a trial pair of contacts and the doctor wanted me to switch the one I was wearing on my left eye to a different prescription. It took only two minutes to switch out my contact and to my surprise the doctor that i was working with took another patient so I had to wait for another doctor who had to look at my chart all over again. When I switch the contact on my left eye, my vision was blurred, yet that doctor asked me to try them out and return in a few days. I was so irrate and how could he send me off if I couldn't see as well. I asked for the doctor who had originally seen me ten minutes before which I had to wait since he was with another patient. I was so upset by this time that I asked for my original prescription. I didn't want to waste any more time there going in circles.

I was going to have my prescription filled but they asked for the funds upfront and they would reimburse me once my insurance paid them. Also, they charged me 75 dollars along with a 10 dollar copay for my follow-up exam which in eight years I have never had to pay for a follow-up and also I was not aware I was going to have to pay additional money. (they call it a fit exam which insurance companies do not cover)

On their website they claim to provide clients with quality care and take pride in their level of customer service and they do the complete opposite. It feels like they are running a business and see clients as dollars signs rather than try to treat each client with the care and attention they deserve in an appropriate amount of time. Customers come out cursing and upset. I left saying, "I hate this place." I will never return nor will I ever refer a patient.

Dr. Emily Linden was wonderful in examining my daughter's eyes. At the school nurse's suggestion, we went to linden optometry on Colorado blvd. Dr. Emily was very patient and kind. She explained everything she was doing so that my daughter could understand. I was very impressed with the docs education and intelligence. I learned alot too. :o)

My school's nurse asked that I take my son to the eye doctor because the eye test administered in school showed that my son may need glasses. I saw Dr. Linden (Asian female doctor) and she said that my son had mental problems and that I should take him to a psychologist because it was all in his head that he needed glasses. I was in the room with the doctor and my son, and my son did not get... more

I can hear the concerns of those who've not had good experiences, but I've found that generally the doctors I've been to have been responsive to my needs. They've been very responsive to adjustments on my glasses. One can get better care elsewhere, especially considering the capacity they attempt to handle. Yet, under a budget constraint, it has been adequate for me.
