THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Liluma Restaurant Review

Liluma has shaken its reputation as the younger sibling of The Crossing---in fact, after owner-chef Jim Fiala added Acero a few years ago, Liluma became a middle child. But the elegant bistro stands on its own quite well, thank you very much. Most of the menu items are hearty American fare with French and Italian influences, so expect roast chicken with creamed spinach as well as scallops with...

Pros: open late (12am Fri/Sat), convenient location, outdoor seating, decent yogurt. Cons: fruit toppings weren't very fresh (I always get blueberries & strawberries) and there were gnats flying...

Typical frozen yogurt place. You walk in, serve yourself and pay a price that seems oddly high when you realize you could have bought a whole meal with the same amount of money. Open later until...

The kids (& I) love this place! They introduce new flavors on a regular basis. The kids go wild on the toppings, so you have to watch how much $ they can spend on gummy bears! Outside places to sit on a warm night.

Sitting at the outdoor patio at Liluma will provide you with one of the best spots for people watching. Seasonal ingredients are used to make menu items.

Grab a seat in the cheerful outdoor area and enjoy tasty, innovative New American fare at this casual cousin of The Crossing. The informed staff are glad to guide you through the menu; you might enjoy a ribeye with blue cheese-caramelized onion gratin and pancetta butter, scallops with roasted mushrooms, basil and tomatoes, or pan roasted tilapia with spinach and vuerre noisette. Tips about this business (3)

Those dining on an expense account, be forewarned: Liluma does not offer itemized receipts.

In summer months, opt for a table under the retractable awning on the prime people-watching patio.

All of Liluma's pastas are offered in two sizes. For a single diner, the smaller is perfectly satisfying--for less than half the price of a whole order.
