We traveled from San Antonio to see the rodeo they offer on Friday evenings. We were expecting it to be busy, but it was actually quite small. A lot of the people were locals.

Stayed here a couple of times and each time was very nice comfortable. Its not the Hilton so don't expect it. Breakfast was awesome big dining hall like having a big family breakfast. cabins and trailers are clean and everyone is friendly. Just waiting to get a chance to stay again.

We came to the Lightning Ranch by chance (had some problems with our original reservation elsewhere) but were so glad we did. We stayed in the Hitchin' Post cabin. It was small but clean, cozy and rustic....
