I was told that Northgate Mall was the first mall ever built in Washington so thats a pretyy cool fact. If you like shopping, you'd like this mall. It's pretty big compared to most malls and has good stores. Some of my favorites are Hollisters, Rave, American Eagle, Jcpennys, Bon Macys, and Nordstrom. Northgate Mall was one of the first malls in the country to open (1950) and it shows. Yes it has some of the basic attractions for shopping (JC Penny's, Macy's and Nordstrom's) as well as chic teen shopping stores, but a walk through leaves you with a feeling of wanting more. This mall may not have all the modern luxuries that newer malls like Alderwood, Bellevue Square, and Southcenter has but if you know what you are getting it is easier to go here. Northgate is closest to my house, and I go here often enough. It usually satisfies my shopping needs. However, if I ever want to do real shopping, I end up going elsewhere.
