In Short Occupying a ground-floor retail space below downtown's Library Court Lofts, adjacent to a Wolfgang Puck Express, this literary-minded lounge offers a sophisticated drinking space and after-work social scene. Catering to the upscale residents of the area and not the beer-swiggin college frat crowd, it features decadent herringbone wood foors under exposed brick walls and...

Who says all we read are scripts around here? With De Sade, Rimbaud, Miller, Lovecraft and Nabokov on our brains, this loft attachment, assembled from sexy woods and sexier tomes, makes the perfect place to find like-minded mates who can balance a volume or two with their chocolate-y Old Rasputin Stout and Belgian Tripels. The male-heavy crowd definitely has full-time jobs and more than a...

I like the happy hour choice of $5 margaritas or martinis. It gets pretty crowded on a Thursday with all the downtown people coming in for drinks after work. It is pretty crowded at the bar so it takes a while to get a drink but overall it is a good spot to hang out with your friends. Get there early to save a spot on the couches near the fireplace.
