It’s a really nice room with high ceilings and brick walls. As the dining area started to get full the sound level got louder and louder. Food was just OK. I left my Credit card at the restuarant by mistake (they didn't put in the check folio) and the owner was a total Jerk about it, never called me back and gave me some lame story that she could not mail my credit card back to me (I live an hour away) because she was "afraid of going to jail". The live, and good music, without a cover, made the trip from SF to Oaklnd worth the trouble.The chicken was tasty, with sides of vegetables made a meal large enough not to have to buy extra sides. Our waitress was a treat. Most of all, we enjoyed the atmosphere with enough room to really appreciate the music.

Expensive for what you get, uneven bistro food not quite as good as Venus or Mua. Mac 'n' cheese is delectable, though, with a browned cheese crust that's divine. Unlike some we liked the lobster dumplings, but it is a subtle dish so in-your-face advocates will miss the point. Desserts on the sweet side, coffee is French Press and strong, very good.
