Food so good I dream about it!

The bread here is unbelievable - unique and so tasty I actually have dreamed about it at night. And the hummus is to die for! I think this is one of the best restaurants in LA!

Belgian Cafe in WeHo

Review Rating
Pan Quotidien is a bakery and cafe/restaurant. There are a variety of old world loaves, like spelt, whole wheat, baguettes, hazelnut flutes, etc. If one word sums it up, it would be brunette. Brunette is PQ's addictive version of nutella: a combination of roasted hazelnuts and chocolate in a peanut butter-like consistency. Definitely reach over the table to grab a jar and try it on breads, croissants, muffins or brioche---all of which you can buy fresh here. Although this is a breakfast place, they also serve tartines, soups and salads for lunch. The prices are reasonable and inside is quite rustic. However, there is barely any street parking so bring some change and be prepared to walk a block or two. It's worth it!

One of the few U.S. outposts of this Belgian chain of upscale bakeries. The menu features pastries, tartines (sandwiches), soups, salads and, of course, freshly prepared European-style breads.

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and the folks at this famed Belgian chain know that well! Highly popular for its waffles, pancakes, sandwiches and other Central and East European delights, this café-like place is the pride of Melrose Avenue. The décor is nothing spectacular, but that won’t matter once you have a look at the appetizing list of starters and mains, not to... more

I stopped at this place randomly with a friend and ended up being very pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere was quaint and peaceful with a European feel. I had the mushroom soup, both creamy and rich, served with crusty fresh bread, and a pomegranate mimosa which was perfect, not too sweet. Service was friendly and prompt and their prices reasonable. Their desserts looked amazing, next time... more

I really like LPQ on Melrose. The patio is lovely and lends itself well to a leisurely lunch. The breads are all tasty, and I love the jams and nutella that accompany. The salads and tartines are light and fresh -- I especially like the tuna tartine, which is fresh and lemony, and the curry chicken pops with flavor. And it leaves room for cappucino and dessert, of which the cherry clafoutis and... more

We dined at Le Pain because Urthh down the street was packed. We ordered an egg salad sandwich which was french style, open faced. It was delicious but the portion was very small for a price like that. The latte is decorated with a heart! The coffee was good. We also had a pistachio tart which was alright. The ambience is really nice. The table next to ours ordered the meats and cheese platter... more
