Stylish, upscale hotel dining with a distinctly French flair from former one sixtyblue Chef Martial Noguier.

When Chef Noguier took the reins at this cosmopolitan Gold Coast restaurant, he brought his seasonal, local culinary mantra with him. Tender star anise-spiced short ribs with Nichols Farm baby carrots and mushroom veloute with black truffle kick-start the fine, French-tinged menu. Offerings rotate seasonally to showcase the best regional produce. Just off the gleaming lobby of the Sofitel Water... more

An oversized clock represents time, and "Timeless Cocktails" play up the theme with names (translated from French) like "5:00 to 7:00," "After Midnight" and "35 Hours," signifying France's work-week. A block of six TV screens is more art... more

The Scene Architectural critics have lauded the elegant geometry of this building. The interior is equally impressive. From the "bonjour" you hear upon entering to the reception desk's red velvet backdrop to the exotic flowers that fill myriad vases, you'll know every detail was carefully planned. The sleek, sexy lobby invites lounging with comfy couches, warm colors, sensual music... more

My family of 3 ( 4yr old boy ) stayed for 5 nights in Aug. Absolutely loved it. Service was top notched. 2 blocks in Michigan Ave, but still felt a quiet place because there wasn't too many hotels close by. I loved the convenience of a grocery store around the corner ( Potash bros) and access to 4 Starbucks within a 2 block radius. The temple cafe is 90 feet away. Great diner for brunch.... more
