A bit chaotic but they have some great sales! Currently a blow out sale and I got all new designer linens and pillows for about $200!
Great place! I just moved to UWS and was able to get many things I needed - sheets, ironing board, pillows, blanket, even some bathroom stuff. Prices were good.Also, they sell the same candles...

When Laytners sells a sleeping pillow our staff informs the customer at time of purchase that there are no refunds on sleeping pillows. We will not take back a pillow that someone may have slept on - it is unhygienic and by law we cannot resale said pillow. We post this policy at the register, on the receipt and tell the customer. When a customer comes back with a sleeping pillow after owning it for a few days and simply leaves it on the counter,walks out and says refund me - we are left with a problem. On Aug. 1, 2011, I purchased a latex pillow from them at their E. 86th st. store for $48.95. The next day I tried to return it and they told me store policy is not to take returns on personal items but I should leave the pillow and my receipt with them and they will ask the manager when he comes back from vacation. I stopped by the store 1 week later on Aug. 8th and they told me they threw the pillow and my receipt out and would not give me store credit or another pillow. That day I called Alan Laytner, owner of this store, and he told me he didn't see why they wouldn't issue me store...
