Located in downtown Redwood City, the Lathrop House Museum was once home to Mary and Benjamin Lathrop, who purchased land from the Arguello and Mezes families, the area's earliest landowners. It is one of the Peninsula's oldest mansions, built in 1863 by San Mateo County's first assessor-clerk-recorder.
