These wonderful stores just rarely exist anymore. The owner is amazing and is just a fountain of information. Most mom and pop shops have been run out of business by Wallmart, etc. so this town is fortunate enough to have him. He has been in business for 50 years or more. The place isn't pretty, but it's his knowledge that is important, not what his shop looks like.
