Asian cuisine eatery by day, underground-style artsy haunt by night. The loft-like space is defined by high ceilings and jewel-toned wood furnishings. Witness the transformation every Saturday night from innocent, casual eatery to industrial-strength, sensory overload stomp-fest.

The vaguely Asian-themed décor looks festive, but the high ceilings and loud music turn every whisper into a roar, making Kung Pao Kitty an unappealing venue for a quiet cocktail. The cuisine is even less appealing (bland stir fries, forgettable rice dishes, gloppy sauces on everything) and the service generally indifferent, but for some reason people keep coming back. Perhaps it's because... more

One day I had to catch a bus to San Diego after visiting Universal Studios and I ate some good chinese food in this place while waiting for my bus to leave. I had my young daughter with me and she also enjoyed the food plus who doesn't like hanging out in Hollywood??? Nice spot--good food only bad thing is that I live in Philadelphia.

Went in, late afternoon. I had one of the cheese wontons, which was decent.

I then had the beef and broccoli, which I have to say was great.

There was no fat on the meet, and the broccoli was fresh.

Not sure about the review below, maybe he ate at another restaurant.

Anyway, give it a try. Nice staff.

Pros

+ I really enjoyed the beef and brocolli

Cons

- had to wait for the bathroom
