Help us make it rightDecorated in a pleasing bamboo motif, this Korean restaurant presents yet another choice in the increasingly diverse Asian cuisines available in San Diego. Though the menu offers a wide selection of casseroles, noodles, soups and sushi, patrons come mostly for the Korean barbecue. Kearny Mesa neighborhood Korean features tableside barbecue plus plentiful authentic dishes such as kimchi soup, bulgogi and hot pots.
The service was excellent. We went for lunch and she gave us extra Kimchi and sweet potato stem banchan. The tofu seafood soup was very tasty, but very light on the seafood. The tofu soup my husband got, with seabass, was more flavorful with more fish, I think. Atmosphere is nice and the place is worth a try. We will...
I really do not know why it has two names or is list incorrectly here. I had lunch here yesterday with the family and each had one of the Bento Box Lunch specials. There are five to choose from and we chose the spicy pork and the Salmon. Great combination of items in the box; salad, noodles, Tempura items, rice...
Unless you are Korean, its pretty likely you haven't tried Korean
BBQ before. Located on Convoy Street in Kearny Mesa, here's a
great place to check it out! Korean BBQ is great because there
are many choices from pretty tame beef dishes prepared somewhat
like you'd get at a Benihana/teppan-style Japanese place as
well as exotic pickled cold dishes and entrees.
This is a good Korean...
Well...Pretty much THE only Korean restaurant in San Diego worth
going to for authentic Korean food. If you've never tried
it, then this is the place to go to get immersed in a variety of Korean
tastes and spices. Kim Chi rocks as do their soups, meats, and
service. Outstanding place to enjoy a meal from a distant land.
I agree with the other reviewer, this is a very good Korean BBQ
joint; it compares to some excellent places I used to go to in San
Francisco. I definately recommend having your meat grilled
at the table, it is a lot of fun. They also have a Korean Liquor,
that is kind of like Sake. I can't remember the name, but if
you can find it on the menu; it's worth a try.
