We got Kolbe windows, against our builder's reconnendations, because we liked the design. That was back in 1981 in house that was over 3,00 sq.ft. ALL windows are still WORKING..

HOWEVER, we built a retirement home in 2002-3 and again put in Kolbe windows, against our builder's recommendation...HE WAS RIGHT !!!! A month ago I went to open a window and it had dryrot !!

Now I cannot...

We baught Kolbe windows for our log home 5 years ago. $35,000.00 worth we thought they were quality windows. We have several with seal leaks, some that have fogged between the glass, several that you can see the suction cup prints between the glass. 5 window are 6ft by 8 or 9 ft trapizoids sixteen ft off the ground. they said they would warranty them but I would have to furnish the labor to...

One word...GARBAGE!! We have 31 pieces of Kolbe in our house and they"ye all horrible.. Air leaks, parts hard to get, and no customer service. Never buy from this company!

We had a door purchased back in 2007. Shortly after the door was installed the door panels begin to split. We have been in contact with Kolbe & Kolbe since April 2008 to resolve the problem. After a few email exchanges it was agreed that the Service Manager for our area would come out and inspect the door. The Service Manager did come out to our house at the beginning of June; examined the door and took pictures of the door. He agreed at the time there was a problem with the door and there should be no issues with getting a replacement.

Since then I have been exchanging emails and letters...
