Rebuttal: samrakk

Hello potential Knucklebusters customers. This review is being written in response to the one left by "Sam R". First, Knucklebusters concedes that the initial unit sold to this customer was in fact defective. As a result, and as the customer admits, Knucklebusters supplied a replacement at no cost and with no questions asked. Second, what kind of "mechanic" just tosses a used transmission into a vehicle without doing a basic benchtop inspection? Had he done this, the initial install/removal costs would never have existed. Third, something the customer fails to mention in his review is that he concedes that the original transmission in his van as well as the second unit provided by Knucklebusters exhibited identical symptoms. "Sam R." wants a refund WITHOUT retuning the "defective" transmission simply because he probably realizes that there IS a different problem causing the malfunction, and the "mechanic" of course needs to charge him to find it. It is just simpler and cheaper to blame the used parts supplier... This is why this customer wants a refund without returning the merchandise. Honestly, If you purchase a laptop from Wal-Mart and you discover it does not work when you get home, do you expect them to simply trust your word and issue a refund absent it's return? Knucklebusters has been in business for more than a decade with more than 25000 successful transactions under its belt. As humans, we make mistakes. When we do (as in this case, initially), we make good on it by admitting and apologizing, then replacing or refunding. Unfortunately, it is impossible to please everyone.

Ripp Off Artist

sold me a bad transmission, had it installed and the mechanic said that it looked like a grenade went off inside it, knucklebusters provided another transmission, and this one too is bad, no 3rd gear and no overdrive, now he wants me to pay another $250 to my mechanic to remove it so that i can bring it back to them to get back the $250 we originally paid for it.....buyers beware of this business !!!

I find it interesting how a person could spend hours upon hours belittling and bashing a business all over the internet while telling half-truths...1. I stipulated to the fact that the first transmission given to him was in fact defective, an oversight which was legitimately rectified by exchanging it without question or cost. The customer is upset with me because the mechanic hired to perform...
