Worst sushi ever! I had to spit out the salmon, and asked to have it removed from my bill. The older Asian waitress argued with me that the other diners didn't complain about the salmon. I told her it was NOT FRESH, it was mushy and had a brownish lifeless look to it when I shined my light on it!...

Wow... you would think that being a local that I would have known better than to eat at this restaurant. My lunch there last week was infuriating. Somewhat tasty, but infuriating. And nothing like being infuriated to cause indigestion.
For starters, both the husband and wife owners lorded over my very well-behaved children like they were juvenile delinquents and incapable...

There is no excuse that this Sushi Restaurant can't be a good one. The place looked shabby and the fish was.... unremarkable.... Don't bother.

How is this place still open

I have no idea how this place is still in business...It is gas station quality sushi in a strange location with bizzare owners that stare at you while you are eating with no air conditioning and flies everywhere. I would not ever want to go back here even though it's the only sushi for 15 miles, and I love sushi....Seriously...

Better than expected, not great. But cheap sushi on the far, far northern end of Napa Valley isn't expected to be anything fancy. Kitani is run by a gruff Japanese couple with an odd collection of customer signs and Japanese dolls ('Don't touch the dolls!' admonishes one of said signs) in addition to decent sushi rolls and nigiri. Good udon, too.

Kitani Sushi is open daily for lunch and dinner. There are traditional sushi rolls, bento boxes, tempura, teriyaki, nigri and much more. In addition, there are Hawaiian-inspired sushi rolls such as the crazy monkey and the edward roll.
