"Down-and-dirty blues" are the thing at this "authentic", "stripped-down" Lincoln Park "mecca" offering two stages of live music – and if there are "not enough empty seats" to park twice in one evening, you can just "dance the night away"; there are "no fussy drinks or decor" here, but the servers "hustle" and for many it's the "ideal" place to check out "music, music and more awesome music."

One of Chicago's venerable blues standbys, it's expanded over its 30-some years to accommodate two storefronts and a kitchen, with artists dripping virtuosity from their fingertips. Great Place for the Blues

Average Rating

On a weekend trip to Chicago my honey and I wanted to hear some blues on a Friday night. The place had a great mixed crowd and a WONDERFUL band playing. The woman singer also played one heck of a mean guitar. We had such a wonderful time. A must visit if you want to hear music.

Great place for very good blues

2 stages, one headed by Joanna Connor and her spectatular voice and another (sound after 10:30 PM) by the very funny and even more competent Linsey Alexander. If you prefer to have dinner there, the New Orleans Barbecue Ribs are a great and not expensive option! Don't miss it!

Tips about this business (1)

Know Before You Go

Pellegrino has expanded the square footage of his club substantially. It's now three storefronts wide, putting an end to the original sweaty, cramped confines.
