Take one step into this bar and you are transported to a cozy pub on the Emerald Isle. The windows are covered with quotes from Irish literary figures, and the paneling is dark and rich. This pub draws a large lunch and after-work crowd. Irish folk music is featured most nights. In the back room, you can watch local theater presentations or catch a Poetry Slam on stage. Kieran's is a regular spot for several of my co-workers due to convenience rather than quality. Lunch is adequate but nothing special - service is typically slow and the restuarant unclean. Happy hour on the outside patio is a bit better to experience.

The food is some of the best I've had in Minneapolis. It's very reasonably priced and the outdoor seating is key. No complaints. Great service and amazing food.

Kieran's is a great Irish pub in downtown Minneapolis. Quality live music. It's a popular place--lots of patrons. In the summer, there is outdoor seating. It has been referred to as the gateway to Irish culture in the twin cities. I'd have to agree. The folks at Kieran's support many local Irish events and contribute to celebration of the Irish heritage/culture right here in Minnesota.
