After a long day in Dolores park, I was honestly ready to eat anything that was put in front of me. My friend Jeff suggested "this place I tried once" in the Mission, and so began our adventure. He was somewhat unsure of where it was, so we walked around until we found, down an alley, a small, unassuming doorway. It had one of those paper lanterns hanging from the wall outside.

not at all what ramen should be. too hipsterfied. wouldn't have chosen to come here on my own. there wasn't a depth of flavour to the broth. overpriced certainly. and definitely overhyped like most ramen options in the city

really satisfying comfort food for a rainy day. I actually can't have noodles but managed to skip that part and still enjoy my bowl of tonkatsu ramen -- weird but true!
