I entered Kaldi's on the eve of its official re-opening with one burning question in mind: Would the books still be there? For me, it wouldn't be the same if the books were gone -- their presence was somehow necessary to the place. Kaldi's has reopened, and the vibe is pertty much the same, but the service and consistency are both dramatically improved. The coffee is still top-notch, and they have added beers on tap, including several of the local (and excellent) Barrelhouse beers. If you haven't been down in a while, you should try it out again.

Kaldi's is a great place to grab a meal, a cup of coffee, or just hang out with friends. The atmosphere is totally laid back, and they have live music some nights. after the rotten attitude there i hadnt been back in years- acted like it was a big deal to put a slice of cake on a plate - went back and gave another try and still wasnt impressed with the service might like it better if i didnt have to hassle with parking and panhandlers
