I went to the ER for a fractured patella and torn quadriceps tendon on a Saturday night. Dr. Hawes was the orthopedic on call. I was given a handful of pain medication and the only follow-up instruction was his office would call me on Monday to tell me when my MRI would be. In the meanwhile, Dr. Hawes went out of town with no one else to do any follow-up care and not enough pain medication. ...
