I never would have thought I'd find an authentic German restaurant in Texas! This place is great. A couple of pints of Octoberfest and some great food and I'm happy.
My chicken schnitzel with a mushroom sauce was awesome! This place is highly recommended and I'd definitely go back. I only dropped it to 4/5 because the price per plate was a bit high, and the atmosphere, while interesting, was a bit cheesy. It was like the inside of Schwarzenegger's brain.
Tucked between antiques shops in East Plano's charming old downtown, Jörg's serves made-from-scratch Austrian dishes, including sausage samplers and sauerkraut flecked with bacon and caraway seeds. Enjoy the convivial biergarten in the back.
Storefront parking on 15th Street in front of the restaurant or street parking in the neighborhood.
In good weather, opt for the biergarten out back.
