Everything in Joes Crab Shack has that carefully disheveled look, from the gift shop on the right crammed with T-shirts and other crab-o-bilia to the wooden tables and chairs in the large dining room. The formula restaurant began in Houston, and now there are dozens of Joes shacks scattered around the country.

I’ve brought my family to Joe’s all over the country; this one was our only disappointment. Great location and good food, but not the fun Joe’s Crab Shack atmosphere you’d expect if you’re familiar with the chain. (The managers need to check out Joe’s in Colorado Springs – long lines every night and always worth the wait!)
