Help us make it rightThis is our second time at Jerusalem Cafe over a two year span, and the results are very consistent. The food is quite good, including some excellent Baba Ganouj and stuffed grape leaves. However the owner seems disinterested at best, and perhaps even as though we were bothering him with our presence. The halvah is tasty.
Excellent food, great service, in an inviting setting, with affordable prices. If ever in Kansas City again, I will definitely return.
While attending an acupuncture seminar, I decided to check out some of the local favorites and stumbled upon this cafe. The seating area is limited, but quaint, the service staff was very attentive. The food was good....really good. We ordered a Gyro sandwich, which came with soup, small salad, homemade pita and rice - I split it with my husband...
Visited the cafe on 43rd street. Loved the lunch buffet and all the choices of items. Everything was hot and fresh. The grocery is in the restaurant. Can grab pita and gyro fixings for dinner.
Went with several friends, vegetarian and non, and we all were so satisfied with our choices! I enjoyed a vegetarian pastry option, it was enough for 3 meals and reheated wonderfully. The atmosphere is not great, the building is quite grungy, but I suppose it just adds to its charm. I will definitely be going back again sometime.
