Menu features full line of tikka, korma, vindaloo, masala, tandoori, kabab nan and paratha selections. Recent move to new larger space with "modern deco" pastel abstract architectural objects on the ceiling melds in a curiously functional way with the cafeteria feel of many many tables filling a large open room with institutional style floor tiling.\n\nThe daily lunch buffet (11am to 4pm, $6... more

Jackson Heights restaurant is a diner in name and appearance only. It actually features excellent Indian food at ridiculously low prices. The only problem is, you have to get to this outer borough neighborhood first. Centering on Northern India and the Punjab region, the extensive menu includes tikkas, masalas, tandooris and vindaloos. There are also plenty of vegetarian dishes, so there is... more

In Short This spacious Indian restaurant in Queens' Jackson Heights enjoys great popularity among natives and non-natives alike, and not just because it's right by the subway: its welcoming, colorful main dining room is the focus of many pilgrimages to Queens from Manhattan. Items like spicy masala dosa, a host of lamb and goat entrees, and fried appetizers like samosas and pakoras... more

They don?t deserve a star at all. They deserve to be shut down. Wasted money. I should have gone to McDonalds for dinner.

I went there Saturday evening hoping for some good Indian food with family. I was wrong, and embarrassed, to bring my family there. It was so bad I don?t know where to begin in this post. The service was horrible. The food was horrible. Everything was a big... more

I was here once and was excited to go. Well I thought it was just OK. I asked for my dish mild and it was still too hot for me to eat. The mango lassi was delicious. The space is really large and open. Worth a try if you like Indian food. I'd recommend the buffet at Indian Taj in the neighborhood for 8.50 though!

The food was great and came quick. No real gripes about the food. The ambience is above average for the area that the restaurant is located in. Service was friendly and helpful. If you are not familiar with Indian cuisine just ask the waiter. The restaurant seems oddly empty most of the time though.

Pros

+ Spicy food. Helpful and friendly staff.

Cons

- Parking.
