Great old building. This is a nice place to drink, but I wont eat here again.

F/U On IBP... "barf". Returned after a long hiatus due to previous concerns about this place that I just want to like... but they just keep punching me in the gut with sooo many shortcomings. Thursday 2/13/2014's lunch was awful. My previous very positive review of the fish and chips drew me back because my body was screaming for good fried fish.

Great Location, Everything Else Was Uninteresting. I have watched this place be built for months with great hopes. It is such a beautiful building with an interesting quality. But, the service was really lousy. It was the first time that I have left a tip of under 20% for years. The food was in no way authentic (Irish? When did chicken fingers become Irish?) This place reminds me of a very similar place in Old Alexandria. I love it. Huge, busy, with competent staff so far. Could have had better waitress, but I will tell you who is best as I get them. This place could end up to be my favorite bar ever.

Fortunately, the only thing on in the Irish Bred Pub was American basketball and English football so I could actually think for myself. The fish was delicious.
