What the community has to say about International House Hotel

Information about this business (5)

In the Voodoo faith tradition, "Loa" are divine spirits with roughly a one to one correlation to the pantheon Christian saints. The name suits the bar at International House because in it the city's contemporary spirit is evident. In the flickering glow of candlelight which someone playfully noted "softens not only the features but the defenses". In the opulent mix of texture and pattern...

The interiors at the Loa Bar appear dreamy and mysterious with the candlelight illuminating every corner of the space. The glittering chandeliers and sparkling mirrors add an extra alluring touch to the premises. Sink in the plush sofas while you browse through the extensive list of cocktails and numerous spirits. Frequented by the creme de la creme of society, this sophisticated place aims to...

Two blocks from the French Quarter, this beautiful boutique hotel is a great place to begin and end the party.

It is very well presented with quirky but stylish decor and the service from all staff I encountered was excellent. You can easily use the street car or walk to a lot...

No. It's not what you think it is. The room is the cheapest room in the hotel and here's why: it has no windows. We stayed in the Rockstar Room and absolutely loved it!! Who needs windows and the stupid sun after a night of boozing. Highly recommend.

My husband and I traveled to NOLA to celebrate our wedding anniversary over the Memorial Day weekend. After researching several hotels we picked the International House and it was one of the best decisions we made. From the start we received a welcome email from the hotel's manager. We were fortunate enough to work with Dean Floyd in Guest Services...

Unlike with some hotels, the more you pay for a room here, the better it is. Each of their tiers of rooms is unique. But having stayed in one of their more economical rooms, as well as some of the others, I can recommend them all. They are all beautiful, interesting, and unique. And a must for me--the beds are...
